Roger Federer started perfectly in Rome Masters


We have saying that

Practice makes a man perfect

And what if a perfect guy practiced, he’ll reach another level of perfection. That’s what happened here in first round match at Rome Masters.

Roger Federer defeated local hero Potito Starace in straight commanding sets 6-1, 6-2. Roger was too good for his opponent yesterday. He was playing every shot with more aggressiveness,correct placement and serving in right areas. It was very nice to see he was back with the play that he supposed to have. Hope he continue same in the next coming rounds and win the title. The 31 year old Swiss didn’t win the Rome title in his 13 appearances here. Continue reading

Grigor Dimitrov stuns Novak Djokovic and completed his revenge


Novak Djokovic, World no.1 and dominating the tennis world for the recent 2years and recently defeated Nadal at his own den (Monte Carlo).

Grigor Dimitrov, a 21 year old kid to the tennis world and known for his playing style almost similar to Federer’s style of play.

This is the third time they met at Madrid open in the 2nd round. Last time when they met, Dimi got some chance to register an upset against World No.1 but, he spoiled his chances with some poor serves at crucial times. And Dimi didn’t want to do that again today. Ferrer shock exit, Over-hyped Dimitrov out.

Four time finalist, top seed David Ferrer faced an early exit to Tursonov in the second round of Barcelona open. Tursunov won with 7-5 3-6 6-1.

And the over hyped Dimitrov lost to Former world no.5 Tommy Robredo with 5-7 1-6. Seven time champion Rafael Nadal started his campaign towards 8th title with win over Berlocq 6-4, 6-2. And Fellow spaniard Almagro through to 3rd round. Raonic advances to third round after defeating Roger-Vasselin.

As everybody expecting Grigor Dimitrov ( the baby fed ) is improving at rapid rate. And today he set clash with Rafael Nadal, 8 time champion here, and almost beat him in the third set.

First set ended with 6-2 and everyone thought that it was one sided game for RAFA, but Dimi raises and broke two games in second set and took the second set.

And in the decider, each one holding their serves till 4-4. And Rafa broke Dimi’s Serve in 9th game. And Rafa served for the match and entered into semis and set another thriller ( hoping 🙂 ) with Jo Wilfred Tsonga. Tsonga defeated Wawrinka in 3 sets. 2-6 6-3 6-4.

Really looking forward to Dimitrov and many young players coming up and it is happy to watch them upsetting seeds 🙂
