India lead the series with 3-0, ready to Sweep.

What a contest between India and Australia at Mohali. It’s exciting all the way.

First day was wasted due to rain and no one would have expected that this would happen.

Second day, Australians who won the toss elected to bat first. And started really well with 139 run partnership for the first wicket. Then quickly they collapsed to 7-251. And smith and starc playing at the crease. 273/7 Day2 stumps.

On third day, it was Smith and Starc, who looked like to score centuries but unfortunately they out at 92 and 99 respectively. And the debut hero Shikar Dhawan scored fastest century in just 85 balls, and Vijay who started slowly and together made 283 run partnership on day 3. 283/0

On Fourth day, Dhawan lost wicket very quickly, and Pujara gone for a wrong decision. And later Sachin out for 37 runs. And the new ball turn the things towards Australia, Starc suddenly bowled in-swingers and took wickets of Vijay and Dhoni. And Siddle completed next formalities and 499 allout with 91 run lead.

Australia started 2nd innings and this time , Bhuvaneswar striked superb taking first 3 wickets and Day4 stumps at 75/3.

And the final day, was with lot of twists. After Hughes wicket, No one stand firmly and wickets were going down. and again Mitchelle Starc and Doherty who played almost 186 balls and for Indian bowlers it seemed to be hard to take wicket of them. And Sir Ravindra Jadeja (:P ) took wicket of Starc. And Australians set the target 133.

India definitely look for win, and started with the same idea. And Vijay ,Pujara stared well and fall at 42-1,70-2. Kohli and Master supposed to finish off the things, but Kohli down at 103-3 and Tendulkar run out at 116-4. And it was Dhoni who inspires always when Sachin out, finished match with 3 consecutive fours.

It was Dhoni who finish the things very quickly provided Sachin should be out.

I would like to thank god and my family, It’s s dream come true. When I entered, I was nervous for three-four balls. Once I got into my rhythm, I played my natural game. Vijay did a great job too. I wanted to stay at the crease as long as possible, I didn’t want to throw my wicket away. I will cherish this for the rest of my life. The finger is going to take a bit of a time. It’s all part and parcel of the game. I fell on my knuckles when I dived.”- says Shikhar Dhawan, MoM.

“We don’t think about revenge in sport, we have exploited the conditions well. Even the fast bowlers have done well despite conditions helping spinners. Jadeja’s inclusion has helped. It meant we were playing with five specialist bowlers. We bowl 12-125 overs on an average to get teams out, so we get tired. It was one of the best batting exhibitions when it comes to batting in pairs, Vijay and Dhawan. The pitch got better to bat on a bit. There were foot marks, but I don’t think it was alarming. Bhuvnesh’s wickets in the second innings helped us win the game. We may try a few things in Delhi but it is important to win all Tests.”- says MS Dhoni.

“I think we showed character, but we have to give credit to India. The start that Dhawan and Vijay gave was outstanding, and all credit to them. The way we came out and fought with the ball today is amazing, but once again the Indian batters showed us that once you get in, you have to score big. We are disappointed, but hopefully we can finish on a high in Delhi. Over the past two years, we have been consistent at home, but not away from home. We continue to learn, there are some positives but there are certainly areas we can get better. I told the boys this morning that we can win the match. We always look for ways to win.”- ” says Michael Clarke.

Final test starts from this Friday. 22nd March, 2013.
